化学理学士学位与应用化学理学士学位，两者同样是延续化学的研究，如：有机化学、无机化学等，因此课程内容大致相若，但化学课程较注重理论；而应用科学较注重于工业的运用，如：工业化学、工业管理、品质管理系统等。其研究领域包括了高分子聚合物、药物化学、食物化学等等。
